Thursday Thirteen #19: Resolution Revolution

Thanks to fellow blogger Christine Kane, for her idea about not making New Year's resolutions. Instead, she suggests adopting a word to live by for the year. You can read more about it here.

So, for my first TT of 2008, here are 13 great words and ideas:

Oh yes! I love your list of 13 words to keep in mind during the year. I don't like the "resolutions" that only seem to result in frustration and choosing a single word wasn't working for me ... I couldn't narrow things down. Peace, joy, wonder, and simplicity keep rolling around my head ... but gratitude, grace, clarity, and LAUGHTER keep pushing their way to the forefront. From YOUR list I note that adventure, exploration, courage and risk (along with creativity) pop! And methinks that's 13 (if I've counted correctly) ... so I may use your idea next week for my T-13 (with your permission, of course) if I don't post about this sooner on one or both of my blogs. I’m thinking I could choose one for the whole year and designate one per month for special focus during the rest of 2008. Did you create the lovely Thursday Thirteen graphic at the top of your post, and (if so) would you mind sharing?

Thanks for your lovely comment. I can't take credit for the idea--it came from Christine Kane's blog. It was so resonant with me that I felt I had to share it. Isn't it interesting how excellent ideas travel and affect those who are ready for them? So, by all means, use it for your next T-13; the more people who see and internalize the concept, the better, I'd say.
