Kianga Tiles

"Kianga" is the Swahili word for sun, or sunshine.  My mixed media low-fire clay tiles are designed with the sun theme in mind.  Each tile is mounted on a solid wood frame, and measures 6"x6"x1 5/8"' Numbered, signed, and wired for hanging.

Hello, Unknown commenter! Thanks so much for your compliments about my work. Most of my pieces combine wood, paper, low-fire clay, and either bamboo or MDF. Some do have fabric included, but they are not completely made of fabrics, like a quilt. I am very sewing averse, so fiber is not really my thing, but I do like to incorporate it in my wall pieces from time to time. Thanks for stopping by, and please excuse this VERY late response.
